Panoramas of Bhutan / 2006

In October 2006 we cycled around Sikkim (India) and Bhutan. This page contains background info about our Bhutan tour. We cycled from Paro in the west of Bhutan to Luentshe in the east of the country. The trip took two weeks to complete.

Panorama of view from National Museum into Paro Valley The National Museum, to the left, used to be a watchtower and part of the Paro Dzong.
Panorama of Sengor Valley Looking down from Trumsing La the highest pass off Bhutan at 3750 m. From this point the roads descends 75 km to an altitude of only 600 m.
Panorama of the Phobjikha Valley The valley is known as the home of the black necked crane. The panorama is taken from the Visitors Centre.
