Western Cape & Karoo

In september and october 2008 we revisited South Africa. This time the Western Cape and the Karoo were our destination. We started the trip in Stellenbosch (near the airport of Cape Town). We cycled remote parts of the western Cape like Anysberg Nature Reserve and the Seweweekse Poort. We made it up the Swartberg Pass and visited Karoo NPKaroo. With a strong tailwind we cycled 160 kms from Karoo NP to Aberdeen in one day. From Graaff Reinet we passed villages like Janssenville and Steytlerville to enter the Baviaanskloof from Willowmore. At Humansdorp we reached the coast. From Storms River we took the Bazz Bus back into the direction of Stellenbosch.
